Cowboy Breakfast

The Cowboy Breakfast is an annual event where we ease the lives of those participating in the Gonzales County Youth Show, which happens each spring. Anyone who has participated in a livestock show or other agriculture-related show can tell you that sometimes breakfast isn’t factored into the equation – enter the Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Cowboy Breakfast.

The breakfast menu each year centers on the traditional farmhouse breakfast: scrambled eggs, hash browns, sausage – and the Texan staple – tortillas. Formerly known as the Old Jail breakfast, the newly rebranded Cowboy Breakfast was relocated to the J.B. Wells Arena in 2013.

Our wonderful Cowboy Breakfast volunteers plan days and weeks in advance to feed over 200 community members and stock show participants, braving sometimes unpredictable spring Texan weather.

2019 Cowboy Breakfast: March 1st from 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

The 2019 Cowboy Breakfast will take place the Friday morning of the Gonzales County Youth Show from 7:00 AM to 9:00 AM. Plates may be purchased for only $5.00! Keep an eye on the Chamber Cannon Blast newsletter for more information.

2016 Cowboy Breakfast Recap

We were up bright and early the morning of Friday, March 6, 2015 for the Gonzales Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture Cowboy Breakfast at J.B. Wells Park! The Cowboy Breakfast not only treats the community members to a hearty breakfast, it also feeds those yearning to become livestock show champions.

A $5 breakfast plate came with scrambled eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, and tortillas; complimented by a drink bar with orange juice, coffee, and water.
